Need a Carfax?

The Missus and I bought a new-to-us used vehicle recently. I wanted to get a Carfax report before I sealed the deal, and I went ahead and bought 10 for $35. Anyways, after using 1 on the new car purchase, and 2 for our old cars, I’ve got 7 leftover. So…if you want the info on a car you want to buy or sell, let us know.

So what did you get?

Gently used Pontiac Vibe. Manual transmission, small engine, all the safety features (ABS, traction control, etc.), plus a set of snow tires.

Isn't that the one that has a Toyota cousin? If it is, I have a friend in Birmingham that did the same thing. The Pontiac went down in value faster than the Toyota, but it is the same vehicle. Smart shopping.

Yes. Pontiac Vibe = Toyota Matrix.

The Vibe was on our list when we were car shopping recently. We were underwhelmed with the pick up on the Matrix, but liked the design. We ended up finding a Prius so we never got around to driving a Vibe. Are you happy with it so far?

I would certainly agree that the Vibe has underwhelming pick-up. But it's a manual, so it's still pretty fun to drive. We were looking for a combination of flexibility, fuel economy, and low price, and we've been happy so far.
